1. 1Chapter 1Boon weaves a forgotten dream for a girl named Lira, sacrificing one of her own cherished memories to complete it. After delivering the restored dream, she is approached by a desperate man who asks her to find a dream that was never forgotten, a task that challenges the very nature of her weaving.
2. 2Chapter 2Boon agrees to help Kael retrieve a stolen dream that was never forgotten. She discovers the dream is her own sacrificed memory, still intact as a thread. Using that thread, she weaves a door to a hidden chamber, sacrificing another memory to open it. Inside, a voice demands a further price for the dream's return.
3. 3Chapter 3Boon faces the voice from the chest and learns the price for reclaiming her stolen dream is not another memory but a core part of her identity—her belief in her ability to mend anything. She sacrifices her mother's voice instead, a different kind of offering, and the chest opens, releasing the silver field dream back into the world. The dream merges with her remaining threads, but she realizes the cost may have altered her weaving forever.
4. 4Chapter 4The silver field dream manifests as a luminous figure that speaks with Boon's sacrificed memory of her mother's voice. It reveals itself as a stolen dream, warns her of a 'Keeper of Unspooled Things' who will come to reclaim the thread, and instructs her to find a 'first dream'—the only thing that cannot be locked away. The dream dissolves, leaving Boon with a new silver thread. The Keeper's footsteps approach, the chest glows ominously, and Kael calls from outside as the room begins to burn. Boon runs.
5. 5Chapter 5Boon faces the Keeper of Unspooled Things in her workroom. He demands the reclaimed silver thread, which burns and tries to leave her. Instead of weaving or bargaining, Boon reaches for her own first dream—a childhood garden memory that was never forgotten or stolen. She manifests that dream as a whole memory rather than a thread, and it repels the Keeper, who retreats but vows to return. Boon is shaken but unharmed; the silver thread now feels like part of her. She tells Kael the dream revealed a tower where first dreams are kept, and the silver thread points east. They set out together to find it.
6. 6Chapter 6Boon and Kael follow the silver thread east to a hill where a tree appears as a tower to her but a tree to him. Beneath it, an old woman tends to first dreams that have been outgrown. She reveals that the silver dream was once a first dream from her tree, sold to the Keeper to hide the secret of where first dreams go. Boon descends into a cavern filled with preserved first dreams in glass orbs. Touching one, she experiences a vision: each first dream is a possible future. The Keeper arrives, and the old woman urges them to escape through a silver-lit tunnel. They flee as the ground trembles.
7. 7Chapter 7 — The River of First DreamsBoon and Kael flee through the tunnel and reach the river of first dreams. The Keeper confronts them but cannot cross the river. After a moment of vulnerability, Kael reveals why he stays: he wants to see Boon believe in something good again. They walk across the river together and arrive at the Garden of First Threads, where a child's voice calls to Boon, deepening their bond as they face the unknown.
8. 8Chapter 8In the Garden of First Threads, Boon and Kael meet a child who is the first dream of the original weaver. She reveals that the old woman in the tower is the first weaver, trapped by the Keeper using her own first dream. The child offers Boon the orb containing that dream, warning that leaving the garden with it requires Boon to sacrifice her belief in doing everything alone. Boon agrees, takes the orb, and crosses back over the river, now holding the key to freeing the first weaver.
9. 9Chapter 9: The Shattered LockBoon and Kael reach the tower, where the Keeper reveals the orb is only half the key; to free the first weaver he demands both halves. Instead of trading, Boon holds out the orb, which shatters into threads that bind the Keeper and extract the other half from him. The lock breaks, the tower collapses, and they escape. The old woman is freed but the Keeper is gone, leaving the garden unprotected. Boon is left with a single silver thread as they face an uncertain future.
