The air in the wizard's shadowy chamber crackled not with the usual hum of potent magic, but with a disquieting stillness, a silence that pressed in on Elara, Finn, and Leo like a physical weight. Before them, the figure of Malakor, the ancient wizard, shimmered, his form indistinct, like heat haze rising from a summer road, yet radiating an immense, chilling power. He had cornered them, not with a thunderous spell, but with a subtle, insidious trick of the mind.

"You think you can defy me?" Malakor's voice was a sibilant whisper, slithering through the oppressive quiet. "You are but gnats buzzing around a dragon's maw."

As he spoke, the chamber began to warp. The stone walls, rough and solid moments before, rippled like water. Shadows deepened, twisting into monstrous shapes that clawed at the edges of their vision. Elara felt a prickle of unease crawl up her spine. This was not the raw, explosive magic she was accustomed to facing. This was something far more unsettling.
