Elara enters a canyon where the wind carries disembodied voices. These are the 'Whispers of the Past,' echoing her own doubts and fears, trying to lure her astray.

The wind howled, not with the hollow roar of the open desert, but with a chilling, multi-toned sigh that seemed to coil around Elara. She had entered the canyon, a jagged scar upon the landscape, hoping for shelter, for a moment’s respite from the sun’s relentless glare. Instead, she found a place where the very air seemed to speak. These were not the murmurs of the sand, but something far more insidious, something that tugged at the edges of her mind.

"Why did you do it, Elara?" a voice, thin and reedy, seemed to whisper from the rocks to her left. It sounded like a child, lost and afraid. Elara flinched, her tattered wings rustling like dry leaves. She didn't know why. That was the torment, the gaping void where a memory should be.

"You were too proud," another voice, deeper and laced with a chilling judgment, slithered from the shadows ahead. This one felt like the echoes of a celestial choir, twisted into a condemnation. "You thought you were above the rules."
