Chapter 20
The Path Forward
Reconciliation with Sarah and a tentative peace with himself mark Alex's journey. The fight for redemption continues, one day at a time.

He’d felt the tremor of her relief, the release of her own held-back anxieties. He’d held her tighter, breathing in the scent of her shampoo, a mundane detail that felt like a miracle.
“I’m home, Sarah,” he’d managed, his voice rough, unused to such gentleness.
