Chapter 19
A Royal Progeny
The Queen's labor is long but ultimately successful. Ophelia gives birth to a beautiful baby girl, named Henrietta Adele in honor of her mother, followed by a robust baby boy, Henry Aldean. Their arrival signifies a new dawn for Vadronia, a testament to the enduring love of their parents and a promise of future prosperity. The royal family is complete, their joy a stark contrast to the kingdom's past suffering.
The birthing chamber was a sanctuary of hushed urgency, a stark contrast to the cacophony of war that had so recently ravaged their kingdom. He murmured words of encouragement, his voice a low rumble of reassurance that vibrated through her weary frame. He had faced down armies, outmaneuvered treacherous brothers, and stared death in the face without flinching, yet this, this raw vulnerability of creation, seemed to unnerve him more than any battlefield.
“Breathe, my love,” he urged, his voice thick with emotion. “You are so strong. You are doing wonderfully.”
