Chapter 5
Shadows in the Sun
Their pursuit of the treasure attracts unwanted attention. Silas, a ruthless rival, emerges, his ambition a dark cloud on their horizon. Silas, a hardened treasure hunter with a reputation for treachery, learns of Liam and Finn's quest and sees them as mere obstacles to his own gain. He begins to shadow them, his presence a constant, unnerving threat. Liam's caution intensifies, his focus shifting from the treasure to the immediate danger posed by Silas. Finn's optimism is challenged by the harsh reality of greed and competition, forcing him to confront the darker side of their adventure. This chapter introduces the antagonist, escalating the stakes and forcing the brothers to acknowledge they are not alone in their quest.
