Chapter 4
Echoes of the Past
Ancient ruins rise before them, silent witnesses to a forgotten era. Within these crumbling walls, they uncover clues, decipher riddles, and face the first true tests of their resourcefulness and courage. Finn's hidden talent for deciphering ancient languages begins to surface, a skill he's kept secret, fearing it would make him seem too different from Liam. Liam's protective instincts are on high alert, his pragmatic mind constantly scanning for dangers. They discover symbols and inscriptions that hint at the treasure's history, painting a picture of a past civilization and the trials faced by those who sought the riches before them. This chapter focuses on their exploration of the ruins, the intellectual challenges they overcome, and the growing sense of mystery surrounding the treasure's true nature.

It was a habit, a constant hum of caution that ran beneath my skin. Finn, on the other hand, was already reaching out to trace the carvings with his fingertips, his usual boundless energy now focused and intense.
