The air in the Black Pine Pack’s territory was thick with the scent of pine needles and something else, something acrid and unpleasant that clung to the edges of Luca’s senses. It was the smell of fear, of suppressed suffering, and it settled uncomfortably in his gut. He led his small contingent of warriors, their senses sharp, their movements fluid and alert, through the sparse undergrowth that marked the pack’s hunting grounds. They were here on a mission of justice, a task that felt both necessary and fraught with potential danger. The whispers had reached the Blue Moon Pack, carried on the wind from disgruntled travelers and wary neighboring wolves – whispers of an omega treated with a cruelty that defied the very laws of the Moon Goddess.

Luca’s own pack was known for its adherence to tradition, its respect for all members, especially the vital role of the omega. They arrived at the edge of the Black Pine settlement, a collection of rough-hewn cabins and communal buildings that seemed to sag under the weight of neglect. The wolves milling about eyed them with suspicion, their hackles raised, a silent challenge in their amber eyes. Luca dismounted, his powerful frame radiating authority, his gaze sweeping over the wary faces. He was an Alpha, a respected leader of one of the largest and most influential packs, and his presence here was not to be taken lightly.
