2. 2A Secret MissionDriven by compassion, Angela decides to rescue the Infant Jesus from the cold. Under the cloak of evening, she carefully takes the statue, its white swaddling cloth a stark contrast to the dark church.
3. 3Home and HidingAngela smuggles the statue home, hiding it in her room. She tucks it into a warm blanket, whispering comforting words, treating it like a real, vulnerable baby. The challenge of secrecy begins.
4. 4Whispers and WorriesAngela’s mother and siblings, Aggie, Pat, and Tom, are around. Angela tries to act normal, but her heart pounds with the secret. She fears discovery and the consequences of her impulsive act.

9. 9A Desperate PlanAngela realizes the only way to appease God and save Aggie is to return the Infant Jesus. She resolves to brave the storm and the darkness to take the statue back to Saint Joseph's.
10. 10Journey Through the GaleClutching the statue tightly, Angela slips out into the raging storm. The wind whips around her, and snow stings her face, but her determination to save Aggie fuels her difficult journey.
11. 11Back to the AltarAngela reaches Saint Joseph's, the church dark and silent. She carefully places the Infant Jesus back in its spot, whispering a final apology and a plea for mercy. She feels a sense of release.
12. 12The Storm SubsidesAs Angela makes her way home, the storm begins to abate. The wind softens, and the snow lessens. A glimmer of hope appears in the lightening sky, mirroring her own fragile hope.
13. 13Aggie's RecoveryReturning home, Angela finds Aggie sleeping more peacefully. Her fever seems to have broken. Her mother smiles, relieved, attributing the improvement to the storm passing and Aggie's strength.
