They tend to the flowers that bloom only in the purest light.” He gestured towards a cluster of beings no bigger than his thumb, their bodies shimmering with a golden hue, their movements as swift and precise as hummingbird wings. They paused their ministrations to regard Sheraza with wide, curious eyes, their expressions unreadable.

Sheraza offered a tight, almost imperceptible nod. The instinct to lash out, to shatter the serene beauty with a cruel word or a sneer, warred with a strange, nascent curiosity. She saw in their delicate forms a fragility, a vulnerability that resonated with a deeply buried part of herself, a part she had long suppressed beneath layers of rage and hatred. This was Eltragon’s lost world, she reminded herself, now a haven for creatures untouched by the celestial war. And it was here, in this idyllic expanse, that she was meant to find her vengeance.
