Is there a ProWritingAid app for iPhone or Android? How to use it on a phone
ProWritingAid runs on Windows, Mac and in the browser, but not as a phone app. Here is what its own help center says and what you can do on a phone instead.

- On October 6, 2026, a US App Store search for “prowritingaid” showed “Pro Writing Aid - Storivo”, a story-writing app from an individual seller, not from ProWritingAid. If you want a native phone app, grammar keyboards such as Grammarly and QuillBot have official iOS and Android apps, and AIBookCraft (“AI Book Writer Story Maker” on the App Store) is a phone app for planning and drafting a book.
Does ProWritingAid have a mobile app?
No. ProWritingAid’s help article “Does ProWritingAid offer an iOS or Android app?” says it does not offer an iOS or Android app for smartphones and tablets. The same article points phone and tablet users to the Web Editor, which runs in a mobile browser.
That makes ProWritingAid on a phone a website, not an installed app. There is nothing official to download from the App Store or Google Play, and a US Google Play search for “prowritingaid” on the check date returned no listing from ProWritingAid.

How to use ProWritingAid on an iPhone or Android phone
The help center describes a split workflow: edit on the phone, finish on a computer. These steps follow that guidance.
- Browser extensions and Desktop Everywhere do not run on iOS or Android, so suggestions will not appear inside other phone apps.
- Long manuscripts are easier to check chapter by chapter on a small screen.
- Open the ProWritingAid Web Editor in Safari or Chrome on your phone and sign in.
- Paste or open the chapter you want to check, then work through the suggestions.
- On a smartphone, open the same document in the Web Editor on a computer later to export and save it, as the help article recommends.
- On a tablet with the Microsoft Word app installed, export directly from the Web Editor instead.

Is “Pro Writing Aid” on the App Store official?
On the check date, a US App Store search for “prowritingaid” returned “Pro Writing Aid - Storivo”, sold by an individual developer. Its description presents an AI co-author for story writing, which is a different product from ProWritingAid’s grammar and style checker. ProWritingAid’s help center does not link to it, and it states the company has no iOS app.
Treat apps like this as separate products: your ProWritingAid account and subscription will not carry over, and any in-app purchase is a separate App Store subscription. The same pattern shows up for other well-known writing tools without native apps, such as NovelAI and Novelcrafter.
- Compare the seller name on the store page with the company named on the official website.
- Check whether the official help center links to the listing.
- If you started a trial by mistake, cancel it in App Store or Google Play subscriptions; deleting the app does not cancel it.

AIBookCraft is an AI novel and book writing app from SecondEarth AI, Inc. It is listed as “AI Book Writer Story Maker” on the App Store and “AI Book Writer Story Generator” on Google Play. In the app you can develop an idea, outline the story, draft chapters, generate a cover, share a public story and export a PDF or DOCX, depending on your plan and actions.
It is not a grammar checker and does not replace ProWritingAid’s style reports. Many writers use both: draft on the phone, then run the finished chapter through an editing tool on a computer. On the web, a free account can write and edit chapters by hand; AI chapter drafting is a Pro feature.
