Anchor the character in the role they play on the page, not only biography.

Use the profile as a scene filter

Before adding a detail, ask whether it changes what the character notices, says, chooses, or refuses. If the answer is no, the detail may still add flavor, but it should not crowd out motive, contradiction, and relationship pressure.

What should a character profile include?

For story use, prioritize a concrete goal, personal motive, protective belief, useful strength, costly flaw, key relationship, secret, and a visible action that could prove change.

Where is my character profile saved?

The template saves field text in browser storage on the device you are using. It sends no field text to a server or analytics, and you can clear the local draft at any time.

Can I download the character profile?

Yes. Copy the complete profile as Markdown or download a .md file that opens in plain-text editors and most writing tools.

Do I need to complete every field?

No. Complete the fields that change a scene or decision. A precise goal, contradiction, secret, and relationship test are more useful than a complete biography with no story pressure.
