Chapter 9
Echoes of Courage
Lily reflects on her adventure, realizing the courage found in sharing memories and connecting with others. The locket's magic has taught her the value of the past and the strength of community.

A familiar, irate chattering broke through her thoughts. Nutsy, his bushy tail twitching with indignation, scampered down the oak tree and landed with an indignant puff of dust right beside her. “You’re sitting on my prime nut-burying spot, girl!” he squeaked, his tiny claws scrabbling at the edge of the bench.
