Elara touches the artifact, remembers its true name—Atheria—and speaks it, driving the Shadow Weaver back but losing an unnamed memory as the price. The Shadow Weaver reveals the new moon is tomorrow, the seal is broken without Thorne's shard, and the convergence will happen regardless. Elara is alone, weakened, and must move forward.
Elara's fingers brushed the surface of the sphere. It was warm, pulsing like a living heart, and the moment she touched it, the roots around her feet went still. The Shadow Weaver—still wearing her mother's face—didn't move.
"You don't know the name," the figure said, its voice soft, almost pitying. "You cannot claim it without speaking what it is."
Elara's mind raced. The book was blank. Thorne was dying. Kael was waiting in the dark. She had nothing left but instinct.
