Echoes of Joy
Aria and Lumie encounter more whimsical creatures who share memories of happy wishes. These echoes of joy help Lumie glow a little brighter and give Aria strength as they get closer to the Star Garden.
The path ahead shimmered with an almost shy luminescence, a soft glow that seemed to beckon Aria onward. Lumie, nestled carefully in her cupped hands, pulsed with a faint, hopeful light. The little star had been explaining, in its gentle, whispery voice, about the Star Garden. It was a place woven from starlight and dreams, a place where every wish made on Earth took root and blossomed into a new, twinkling star. But the Star Garden was fading, just like Lumie’s own light, because for a long, long time, people had forgotten how to truly wish.
“It’s like a garden that’s forgotten how to grow,” Lumie had sighed, its light dimming a little with each word. “And without new wishes, the old stars… they lose their sparkle too.”
Aria squeezed Lumie gently. She remembered her own wish, a quiet plea to the vast, empty sky. It felt so small, so insignificant, especially now, knowing it was tied to something as grand as a Star Garden. But Lumie had told her that even the smallest wish, when made with a full heart, could be a powerful seed.
