The jungle air, usually alive with chirps and rustles, began to soften. Long shadows stretched like sleepy cats across the mossy ground, and the vibrant green leaves overhead seemed to sigh, catching the last golden rays of the afternoon sun. Tiggy, who had been chasing a particularly dazzling butterfly just moments before, suddenly found his paws feeling a bit heavy. The butterfly, with a final flutter of its painted wings, disappeared into the deepening foliage, and Tiggy, for the first time that day, didn't feel the urge to chase it.

He plopped down onto a patch of soft, cool grass, his striped tail giving a weary flick. The vibrant energy that had propelled him through the morning had dwindled, leaving behind a quiet hum of… something else. He tilted his head, listening. The jungle wasn't as noisy as it had been. The usual chatter of monkeys was absent, the squawks of parrots had faded to gentle murmurs, and even the distant trumpeting of elephants seemed muted. It was a peaceful sound, but it also felt… empty.

Tiggy’s tummy gave a small, protesting rumble. It wasn't a hungry rumble, not exactly. It was more of a hollow, empty sound, like a little drum beating a slow, sleepy rhythm. He patted his belly with a paw, a little surprised. He had been so busy playing, so determined *not* to nap, that he hadn't even noticed his tummy getting ready for something else.
