Cloud Cream Creation

Scotty adds milk. The cauldron whips it into fluffy, sweet cloud cream that tastes like dreams and feels lighter than air.

Scotty peered into the cauldron, his brow furrowed. The Berry Burst Bonanza had been… interesting. Sparky had certainly enjoyed licking the purple goo off the walls, but it wasn't exactly cake. He’d promised Sparky a cake, a proper, delicious, *cake-like* cake. And his little puppy friend deserved the best. Scotty’s tail gave a nervous little thump-thump against the worn wooden floorboards. He still secretly worried he wasn’t a very good witch. What if he just couldn’t make a cake?

He’d reread the recipe for the hundredth time. Flour, sugar, eggs, milk. He’d added the flour, which had tried to fly away. He’d added the sugar, which had giggled and turned into little gears. He’d even managed to add the eggs (after a brief moment where Sparky, now with a sparkly snout, had tried to catch them mid-air). Now, it was time for the milk.

“Okay, cauldron,” Scotty said, his voice a little shaky. He held up the jug of creamy white milk, its surface shimmering faintly in the afternoon sun. “This time, we’re going to be good. Just… milk. For a cake. A fluffy, delicious cake.”
