Berry Burst Bonanza
Scotty adds berries. The cauldron conjures a cascade of juicy, exploding berries that pop with flavor and leave a delightful, sweet mist.
Scotty, a determined little puppy witch, stared into his magic cauldron. The batter, or what should have been batter, was a swirling, shimmering goo that smelled suspiciously like lavender and old socks. He’d followed the recipe for his “Perfect Puppy Cake” to the letter, or at least, to the paw-print. He’d even added a pinch of extra sparkle dust, just for good measure. But the cauldron, that rascally, wobbly pot, had other ideas. First, it had turned the eggs into bouncy blue balls. Then, the sugar had transformed into a cloud of giggling dust that made Sparky, his fluffy best friend, float around the kitchen like a helium balloon. Now, this lavender-sock goo.
“Oh, bother,” Scotty grumbled, his tail giving a frustrated thump against the flagstone floor. He’d wanted to surprise Sparky with a cake that was not only delicious but also perfectly normal. No floating, no giggling, no sock-scented goo. He just wanted a cake. A simple, lovely cake.
He consulted his spellbook, its pages dog-eared and slightly sticky from previous magical experiments. “Right,” he mumbled, tracing a paw over a particularly wiggly rune. “Maybe it needs… more sweetness! Sparky loves sweet things.” He rummaged through his ingredient cupboard, his nose twitching. He bypassed the jar of pickled eyeballs (a failed attempt at making Sparky’s favorite treats last week) and the bag of fizzing toadstools (best left alone after the incident with the exploding teacups). He found what he was looking for: a bowl brimming with plump, juicy berries. Red ones, blue ones, purple ones – a veritable rainbow of fruity goodness.
