The air, usually thick with the hushed whispers of fear and the sharp bite of winter, began to stir with something new. It started subtly, like the first tentative thaw after a long freeze. A few more brave souls, their curiosity finally outweighing their apprehension, peeked out from behind their frosted windows. They’d heard the hushed accounts, the hushed tales from those who had ventured closer, tales of a girl, a white dinosaur, and a magic that didn't quite fit the stories of monsters.

He shuffled closer, his boots crunching on the packed snow, and stopped a respectful distance away. Emily turned, her cheeks rosy from the cold, her eyes sparkling. Beside her, the Foley milliy stood, a majestic, almost ethereal presence. Its white scales shimmered, catching the pale sunlight, and its magnificent wings were folded gently, like a silent promise. Its red eyes, no longer burning with distress, held a soft, curious glow as it observed the approaching man.
