The air in the ancient grove hummed with an energy that did not belong. It was the scent of ozone after a storm, the crackle of unseen forces, the deep thrum of power barely contained. Elder Lyra, her steps as silent as falling leaves, moved through the twilight-dappled clearing. Her eyes, ancient and shadowed with the wisdom of forgotten ages, were fixed on the two figures who stood at the heart of this disquiet. They were brothers, she knew, though their essence warred like a tempest and a dawn. One pulsed with the raw, untamed hunger of the void, a vortex of shadow that seemed to drink the very light from the trees. The other radiated a softer, yet no less potent, luminescence, a fragile dawn struggling to break through the encroaching darkness.

It was a familiar sensation, this awareness of others, a constant irritant when he was trying to commune with the deepest, darkest currents within him.

Vaeltharion, in contrast, turned with a quiet grace. His posture was one of weary observation, his brow furrowed as he studied the newcomer. The light that emanated from him was not the blinding brilliance of a sun, but the gentle, persistent glow of a hearth, a warmth that promised solace but also held a quiet strength. He sensed the ancientness in Lyra, a resonance that spoke of a world far older than their own recent awakening.
