Chapter 10
Hero's Return
The threat is vanquished, and Angelo is hailed as a hero. He is forever changed by his perilous journey, the wisdom of the Sunstone guiding his future actions. His quest has forged him into a true protector.
The cheers of his people washed over Angelo like a tidal wave, a sound so potent it threatened to buckle his knees. But the Sunstone, guided by his will, had blazed, a beacon of hope that had seared away the encroaching despair, forcing the shadowy tendrils to recoil.
Beside him, the Elder, his face etched with a thousand smiles, placed a hand on Angelo’s shoulder. “You have done well, my son,” he said, his voice a low rumble of pride. “The legends spoke of a hero, and you have proven them true.”
