Jason, caught in the middle, had navigated the meal with the practiced calm of a seasoned diplomat. He’d offered genuine praise to Aurora, complimented Seraphina’s fruit arrangement, met Luna’s shy glances with a warm smile, and deflected Celeste’s fruity onslaught with a playful flick of his wrist.
