Chapter 16
A Pact is Made
After much discussion, nerves, and maybe a few tears, Jason agrees to the unconventional arrangement. The sisters are overjoyed, and a new, chaotic chapter begins.
Jason’s gaze swept across the faces of his four new stepsisters, each one a mirror of apprehension and fervent hope. The air in the living room, usually thick with the quiet hum of their shared existence, now crackled with an electric tension, a palpable anticipation that held them all captive. He’d known this was coming, had braced himself for it since the word “harem” had been so delicately, yet decisively, uttered by Aurora. But hearing it, discussing it, and actually agreeing to it were three vastly different beasts.
Seraphina, ever the stoic, sat with her spine unnaturally straight, her hands clasped tightly in her lap, betraying the calm facade. Aurora, on the other hand, was practically vibrating, her eyes wide and bright, darting between Jason and her sisters as if seeking a final confirmation of the unbelievable. Luna, her usual gentle aura amplified by a nervous blush, tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, her gaze fixed on the intricate patterns of the rug. Celeste, the youngest, bounced her knee with an almost aggressive energy, her small hands clenched into fists on the armrest, a determined glint in her eyes.
“So,” Jason began, his voice softer than he intended, a stark contrast to the storm brewing within him. He felt a strange mix of exhilaration and sheer terror. This was… a lot. More than he’d ever imagined when his dad had casually dropped the bombshell about his remarriage. More than he’d even dared to admit to himself in the quiet solitude of his room. The thought of these four remarkable, albeit icy, young women wanting him, all of him, was a dizzying prospect.
