Princess Lily stood before the grand, gilded mirror, her reflection staring back with an expression of utter disbelief. This was not the regal image she had envisioned. Gone was the shimmering silk gown, the sparkling tiara that sat so perfectly upon her regal head, and the confident smirk that usually graced her lips. Instead, a… a *sack* of drab, grey fabric clung to her small frame, a far cry from the magnificent attire befitting a queen. And perched precariously on her head, like a bewildered bird that had lost its way, was a frumpy, lumpy hat adorned with what looked suspiciously like… doilies.

“This is a travesty!” she declared, her voice echoing in the cavernous dressing room. Sir Reginald, who had been nervously polishing a silver goblet in the corner, jumped as if he’d been poked with a royal decree. He hurried over, his brow furrowed with a mixture of pity and exasperation.

“Your Royal Highness,” he began, wringing his hands, “the Queen was quite… firm in her… sartorial suggestions.”
