Chapter 4
Reflected Glory
To truly know Jesus is to know God. In His light, we discover our own identity, our purpose, and our worth as beings created in God's magnificent image, restored through Him.
The air in the small Galilean village hummed with a familiar warmth, the kind that settled deep in the bones on a late afternoon. Sunlight, filtered through the dusty leaves of olive trees, dappled the worn cobblestones where a crowd had gathered. They weren’t seeking a spectacle, not really. They were seeking understanding, a gentle nudge towards a truth that felt just beyond their reach, like a forgotten dream. And at the heart of it all, stood Jesus.
He spoke not with the booming pronouncements of kings or the intricate arguments of scholars, but with a quiet authority that resonated in the very marrow of their beings. His words were like clear water, quenching a thirst they hadn’t fully recognized until it was being met. He spoke of a God who wasn't distant and demanding, but intimately present, a Father whose love flowed like an unending river. He spoke of the kingdom of God, not as a far-off land, but as something that could blossom right here, in the soil of their hearts, in the simple acts of kindness and compassion.

Her name was Miriam, and for years, she had carried a heavy burden of shame, a sense that she was fundamentally flawed, a pale imitation of the radiant image she felt God intended. She had tried, in her own way, to grasp that image, to make herself worthy, but her efforts always fell short, leaving her feeling more lost than before. Now, as Jesus spoke, something shifted within her. He didn’t look at her with judgment, but with a gaze that seemed to see past her mistakes, past her perceived imperfections, and into the very core of her being.
