Chapter 34

Chapter 34: The Path Unraveled

Anya, Lena, and Lyra confront the boy who claims to be the path not taken. He reveals he is the future Elias could have had—a normal life without the void. To free Elias, they must release that imagined future, letting go of the version of him that never suffered. Lyra's touch bridges the gap, and the boy dissolves into golden light, opening a door. They step through and find Elias waiting, but he is transparent and fading, warning that the void has one more trick. The chapter ends with the door closing behind them and the boy's laughter echoing.
