It's been 3 days since Delta, Ed has been having dreams of his past but not making sense of them, Layia introduces her mother to Ed, as Layia trains hard.
Three mornings had passed since Ed returned from the clearing. The village had settled back into its gentle rhythm—Felix ringing the chapel bell, Catherine humming as she swept the inn steps, children chasing each other through the square. But Ed had not been sleeping well.
Each night, the same dream came.
He stood in a garden he did not recognize, under a sky the color of honey. A woman with hair like autumn leaves laughed and reached for him. A small child—a girl with bright eyes and a gap-toothed smile—tugged at his sleeve and said, “Papa, look what I found!”
