Chapter 7

Eleanor begins her daily ritual of guarding the Devourer, but the entity grows more cunning, testing her resolve and exploiting her exhaustion. Detective Rossi investigates a series of strange occurrences in the town, uncovering a pattern that suggests the Devourer's influence may be spreading beyond the house. The chapter ends with Eleanor finding a message carved into the wall of the sanctum, a warning from someone who came before her.
