The hum of the city was a distant lullaby, a counterpoint to the frantic rhythm of my own heart. It was late, the kind of late where the world outside seemed to hold its breath, and the only things truly alive were the glowing screens and the unspoken tension in the air. I was hunched over my drafting table, the familiar scent of paper and graphite a comforting balm, yet tonight, even that couldn't quite chase away the gnawing unease. My latest proposal for the VS Tower’s atrium lay before me, a delicate dance of light and shadow, organic curves meeting sharp, modern lines. It was, I thought, my best work yet.

I’d studied their brand, their history, their future aspirations. I’d dreamed in blueprints and woken up with sketches in my hands. And still, it wasn't enough. The disappointment had settled in my chest like a heavy stone, slowly pushing out the joy I once felt for architecture. I’d started spending more time on the badminton court, the sharp crack of the shuttlecock a welcome release, and then the roar of the engines on the racing track, the blur of speed a distraction from the sterile chill of the design studio.
