Chapter 11
Chapter 11: The Horn and the Shadow
Kaito stands in chaos as the imperial war horn signals the approaching army. The demon lord demands an answer. Hikari and Ren argue over the choice, but before Kaito can decide, a new magic circle erupts from the ground—not from the mages, but from the imperial vanguard—and a voice announces that the binding has already begun. Kaito's power flickers out, and he collapses.

The mages in white robes had scattered like startled birds, their broken circle still smoking where the demon lord had shattered it.
Kaito stood at the center of it all, light still flickering at his fingertips. He tried to pull his power back, to hide it again, but it was too late. Everyone had seen. The demon lord. The mages. Aldric. Hikari. Soon the entire imperial army would know.
"Kaito!" Hikari grabbed his arm, her divine power casting a soft golden glow around them. "We need to move. Now."
