Sirijus found himself blinking in the bright sunlight, a sensation as foreign as a loud laugh in his quiet laboratory. He’d stepped out of the hushed halls of his research, a place where the only sounds were the gentle hum of equipment and the rustle of his own thoughts, and into a world that buzzed with a million different noises. He clutched the worn notebook tighter, his sanctuary of scribbled equations and half-formed theories. His journey had begun with a whisper, a glitch in the very fabric of his understanding, and now, it seemed, he was meant to chase it through the bustling streets of a town he’d only ever seen on maps.

He was trying to make sense of the chaotic flow of people, each one a tiny, independent system, yet all moving together in a grand, unpredictable dance. It reminded him of the digital asset market he’d been studying, where prices could leap and tumble with a mind of their own. He’d seen a flicker, an anomaly, a moment where the predictable laws of physics seemed to waver, and that flicker had ignited a fire in his usually placid mind. He needed to understand. He needed to know if the universe, too, had its own wild market of forces.

Lost in his contemplation, Sirijus nearly walked into a cart laden with brightly colored fruits. A strong hand shot out, steadying him just in time.
