Chapter 11
Whispers of Betrayal
Logan Pierce, ever the pragmatist, stumbles upon a disturbing anomaly: evidence suggesting that someone within law enforcement is actively aiding the murderer. Inconsistencies in police records, tampered evidence logs, and hushed conversations point to a mole feeding information to the killer. He shook his head, gesturing for her to come in. “It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack made of fog.” He tapped a thick binder on his desk. “But the haystack is starting to look suspiciously well-maintained by someone who doesn’t want the needle found.”
