Chapter 9: The Silence Within

Eliza wakes on the final day before the full moon to find the silence has deepened, muffling the town. She visits Professor Finch, who reveals that the second key is not a physical object but the strength to complete her silent story. Ms. Petrova helps her practice, teaching her to use the silence as a partner. That night, Eliza returns to the theatre for the true test. She performs her story as the silence presses in, but she perseveres and the silence breaks. The keeper appears, and a new door opens in the theatre wall, leading to an unknown path.

She had searched her room, the theatre, the clock tower—nothing.
