Chapter 16
Pablo's Parents' Arrival at the Clubhouse
Pablo's parents arrived at the clubhouse, but discovered they can't come in due to a facial recognition security system set up by Pablo himself 3 months ago.

His father’s deeper rumble, laced with a growing frustration, cut her off. “The door won’t budge. There’s something… strange about it.” He was examining the frame, his brow furrowed. They looked utterly spent, their clothes rumpled from a night of fruitless searching. Pablo’s throat tightened. He yearned to burst through the door, to feel his mother’s arms, to hear his father’s steady reassurance.
