The Awakening of the Old Guardians
Mikutis and Jonas face the booming voice of an awakened guardian who reveals that taking the seed has broken the ancient balance. A new being of light, the Guardian of Echoes, appears and sends them to the Forgotten Gate beneath the eastern hill to restore harmony. They descend the tower, meet Vilkas and Eagle, and journey to the hill where Karvė Marija's strange smells led the way. Inside a hidden cavern, they find the gate, but a shadowy form emerges, demanding a sacrifice to mend the balance.
The tower shuddered beneath Mikutis and Jonas as the deep voice rolled across the stars like thunder. The golden thread stitching the sky crack still glowed above the farm, but the ground beneath their paws trembled, and the air grew cold.
"Who has taken the seed from the Heart of the Sky? The balance is broken. The old guardians wake."
Mikutis's whiskers quivered. He looked at Jonas, whose face was pale in the starlight. "We did what the first guardian asked," Mikutis said, his voice small. "We healed the sky."
