The air in Leo’s garage buzzed with a new kind of energy, a potent mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. It was the kind of hum that settled deep in your bones, promising adventure and the thrill of the unknown. Sunlight streamed through the dusty windows, illuminating the scattered remnants of past projects – a half-finished birdhouse, a tangle of colorful wires, a stack of well-loved comic books. But today, the focus was on something different, something that felt bigger, more real.
“Okay, so we’ve got the problem,” Leo said, his voice a little louder than usual, trying to cut through the excited chatter. He tapped a marker against the whiteboard, a wide grin stretching across his face. “Mrs. Gable’s garden, Mr. Henderson’s leaky faucet, the missing dog posters that keep blowing away… these are all real things people in our neighborhood need help with.”
Maya, ever the organizer, had her notebook open, her pen poised. “And we’ve brainstormed a million ideas,” she added, her brow furrowed slightly in concentration. “Some good, some… well, let’s just say some were a little *too* creative. Remember the ‘robot dog walker’?”
