Anya sat by the window, the late afternoon sun painting golden stripes across the familiar rug. It had been weeks since she’d returned from England, weeks of settling back into her old room, her old school, her old life. Yet, everything felt different, brighter, more vibrant, as if a new layer of colour had been added to her world. It wasn’t just the souvenirs on her shelf – the little porcelain teacup, the worn copy of an English fairy tale, the smooth, grey pebble from the coast – it was an internal shift, a quiet hum of understanding that resonated deep within her.

Grandmother Elena entered the room, carrying a tray with two steaming mugs of herbal tea. She placed one gently on the small table beside Anya, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Lost in thought, my dear?" she asked, her voice soft like the rustle of old pages.
