The familiar scent of baking bread and dried herbs greeted Anya the moment she stepped through the door, a comforting embrace after the whirlwind of her English adventure. Grandmother Elena was already there, her apron dusted with flour, a warm smile crinkling the corners of her eyes. Anya’s suitcase, a little heavier now with souvenirs and memories, felt like a treasure chest waiting to be opened. She placed it gently by the hearth, her heart thrumming with a mixture of joy and a touch of wistfulness.

"Welcome home, my little bird," Grandmother Elena said, her voice like a soft melody. She wiped her hands on her apron and opened her arms wide. Anya rushed into the embrace, burying her face in her grandmother's familiar scent. It felt like coming home in a way she hadn't fully understood until now, a deep, grounding feeling that settled right into her bones.

"Oh, Grandma, it's so good to be back," Anya murmured, pulling away slightly to look at her grandmother’s kind face. "England was… amazing. But this,” she gestured around the cozy kitchen, "this is home."
