Chapter 8
The Shadow's First Stirrings
The Shadow Demon begins to manifest, feeding on fear. Strange occurrences plague the city, a prelude to the darkness Jaehyun warned Rumi about. The artifact's location remains elusive.

It was like a slow, insidious creep of dread, a chill that seeped into the very bones of the city.
Jaehyun’s face, etched with concern, swam before my eyes. He’d spoken of the Shadow Demon, a creature that fed on despair, on fear. And it seemed, even in its nascent stages, it was beginning to stir. Its tendrils of influence were reaching out, weaving a tapestry of anxiety that I could almost feel brushing against my skin.
