Chapter 9 — The Pond at Night
Alex spends the night with Patricia in her cabin, where she teaches him about anal sex using lubricant, emphasizing communication and patience. Patricia's cabin smelled like sandalwood and sweat. The mat took up most of the floor. There was nothing else. No bed. No chair. No dresser. A shelf with candles. A basket with bottles. A window with the curtain drawn.
She unfolded herself from the position. Slow. Controlled. Her legs came down from behind her head like gates opening. She stood. She walked to the basket. She pulled out a bottle. Glass. Amber liquid inside.
"Sit," she said.
