Shella Mae’s world, once a meticulously orchestrated symphony of power and fear, had begun to hum with a new, insistent melody. It was Mika’s melody, a gentle, wordless tune that played on repeat in the shadowed corners of Shella’s mind. The scent of lilies, the delicate curve of a rose petal, the soft, unblinking gaze of Mika’s eyes – these were the new currency of Shella’s obsession. The calculated cruelty that had defined her for so long felt… inefficient. A clumsy tool against the exquisite vulnerability of the florist.

Her penthouse, a monument to her ruthlessness, felt strangely hollow. The polished marble floors, the stark, modern art, the panoramic city views that once symbolized her dominion now seemed to mock her with their coldness. Her visits became more frequent, her stays longer. She’d sit in the corner, a dark predator observing its prey, except her prey was the very thing that ensnared her. She’d watch Mika arrange bouquets, her movements fluid and graceful, her hands, so delicate, coaxing beauty from wilting stems. Shella’s gaze would linger on the slight tremor in Mika’s fingers when she was focused, the way her brow furrowed in concentration, the small, contented sigh that escaped her lips when a particularly stubborn bloom finally yielded.
