Chapter 27
My Own Safe Ground
I made my shelter from the things I learned, built from the love I kept and the hope I earned. Here I can rest, here my children can play, rooted in strength that never goes away. No need to look elsewhere for a steady hand — I am the solid earth where we can stand.
I took the rough earth where I once had fallen, turned every stone, every hurt, every burden — dug deep foundations where no one would go, built steady ground where my children could grow. Surrounded by voices, yet walking apart, I shaped this shelter from my own brave heart. No need to lean on promises that fade, I made my own shade and my own sunny glade. Here roots run deep and nothing can intrude, here love is constant and hope is renewed. I clear the sharp weeds and mend every crack, keeping our haven safe, solid, and intact. This soil is mine, earned through every hard day, where I can be strong, and they can freely play. My own safe ground, firm and golden and true — home that I built, for myself and for you..
