Chapter 26
Light After the Storm
When wind and rain have finally blown their fill, I lift my face and drink the sunlight still. Fresh and bright, washed clean and shining clear, reminding myself: peace always follows fear. Every hard gale makes the bloom more sweet, making my joy feel truly hard‑won and complete.
Wind has lashed and heavy rain has poured,
bent my tall stem, tested every cord —
leaves beaten flat, petals bowed and wet,
yet deep inside, my roots have not forgotten yet.
When clouds break soft and grey begins to part,
I lift my head and open wide my heart.
Golden rays spill down to warm my face,
washing the ache and weariness from this place.
Surrounded by many, yet I stood alone,
weathered the gale and made this strength my own.
The storm has passed, but something new remains —
brighter bloom grown from the heavy rains.
