The transition from Level Three was less a step and more a sickening lurch, as if the very fabric of reality had snagged and then snapped him forward. Zack found himself standing on a floor that felt unnervingly similar to the last, yet subtly, disturbingly different. The yellow walls, still the ubiquitous and oppressive hue, seemed to press in with a new, almost sentient intensity. The yellow walls seemed to stretch and recede, not in an active attempt to confuse him, but as if to provide the perfect vantage points for an unseen observer.
