The hall of mirrors stretched endlessly in every direction, each pane reflecting a different version of Tee’s life. In one, she stood alone in the quiet town of Willow Creek, her belly round with Keira, a smile of naive hope on her face. In another, she ran through the Forest of Echoes, Elias’s hand in hers, the darkness closing in. In a third, she held Keira as a newborn, tears streaming down her cheeks, the memory of hope still warm in her chest.
