Chapter 8
The Serpent's Embrace
Lady Victoria, a master manipulator, begins her psychological assault. She preys on their deepest fears and guilt, whispering venomous truths that threaten to shatter their bond. She appears in their dreams, a seductive siren, then a monstrous hag, twisting their perceptions. She reminds Issac of his perceived failure to protect Jeff, and taunts Jeff with his secret fears of abandonment. Her words are designed to sow discord, to fracture their unbreakable brotherhood, making them vulnerable to her insidious control. The brothers, despite their shared ordeal, begin to feel the insidious tendrils of doubt creep in.
