Meanwhile, William texts that he is watching the station, and Kira spots him across the street. He points at her and sends a final message referencing the sundown deadline, escalating the tension as the police prepare to act.
The sergeant behind the desk was a middle-aged man with a name tag that read “Sgt. Morrison.” He looked at Kira, then at the group behind her. His expression shifted from professional neutrality to something softer, as if he recognized the weight they carried.
“Have a seat,” he said, gesturing to the plastic chairs along the wall. “I’ll grab someone who can take a detailed report.”
Kira sat. Carol and Josh flanked her. Louise remained standing, arms crossed, watching the hallway where the sergeant had disappeared.
