The air in our humble abode, usually thick with the scent of Negra’s contented snores and the faint, ever-present aroma of burnt toast, suddenly crackled with an energy I could only describe as… destiny. Mother, bless her practical heart, had just delivered her decree. "Camilo, Juliana," she’d said, her voice a gentle but firm wave that nudged us both toward an unknown horizon, "I need you to retrieve La Reina."

La Reina. The very syllables sent shivers down my spine, a delicious tremor of anticipation. My mind, a canvas perpetually awaiting the strokes of adventure, immediately painted a grand tapestry. La Reina. It wasn't a name for any common creature. This was a title, a designation for someone of immense importance, perhaps a deposed monarch, a kidnapped princess, or even a mystical artifact guarded by ancient beasts. The possibilities, like stars in a newly discovered galaxy, were infinite and dazzling.

Juliana, ever the pragmatist, simply raised an eyebrow, a silent question hanging in the air. "La Reina? From where?" Her tone, while devoid of my own soaring enthusiasm, held a certain weary curiosity. She knew me. She knew that when I heard words like "La Reina," my internal hero meter, which, I might add, is calibrated to a rather impressive sensitivity, went off the charts.
