The Witch of the Peaks
Aaron, Lyra, Morwen, and Silas journey into the mountains to find Elara, the witch who can help attune the Heartstone. They face harsh terrain and a pack of rogue werewolves, but Elara reveals that the stone's true power requires a sacrifice from Aaron, testing his resolve and deepening the shadow's influence.
The mountain path was steep and treacherous, the air growing thinner with every step. Aaron led the group, his hybrid senses alert to every sound and movement. The Heartstone pulsed in his pouch, a steady rhythm that seemed to echo his heartbeat. Lyra followed close behind, her bow in hand, her eyes scanning the tree line. Morwen brought up the rear, her staff tapping against the rocky ground.
"How much farther?" Aaron asked, his breath forming white puffs in the cold air.
Morwen consulted her map. "There is a pass just beyond the next ridge. Elara's dwelling is said to be hidden in a cave near a frozen lake."
