The air in the small chapel was thick with the scent of old wood and beeswax, a comforting aroma that clung to the worn pews and the ancient stone walls. Now, it was time to step fully into the light that had been steadily growing within.

Sarah sat in one of the back rows, her hands clasped loosely in her lap.
